Set Theory

Course Description: Set theory is the study of infinity. In this course we will cover the basics of set theory, including Russell's paradox, the ZF axioms, variants of the axiom of choice, the Continuum Hypothesis, transfinite numbers, and independence results. Along the way we will discuss ways in which set theory can serve as a foundation for mathematics.
